Fraudulent activity – April 2023

AXA IM would like to warn the public and our clients of possible fraudulent use of AXA IM brand or those pretending to act on behalf of AXA IM on Whatsapp.  Please be aware that some individuals created Whatsapp Group using the name of “AXA 安盛” and/or “AXA Investment Managers 安盛投資” as title to provide investment advice.  For example, an individual named “羅冠哲” created a Whatsapp Group titled“安盛投資【AXA】早市點評”to provide advice on investment in equities.  Please exercise caution before carrying out any investment or funds transfer for which you may be solicited.

Please be aware that these person and the Whatsapp group are not associated with AXA Investment Managers in any way.  Please also note that AXA Investment Managers will never provide investment advice through Whatsapp group chat.  If you have been the recipient of a fraudulent request or communication, we strongly advise you to ignore the Whatsapp group chat and/or invitation link to the group chat.

Fraudulent activity – February 2023 (Last updated: 10 March 2023)

AXA IM would like to warn the public and our clients of possible fraudulent use of AXA IM brand or those pretending to act on behalf of AXA IM on Facebook or Whatsapp.  Please be aware that a number of  individuals created Facebook posts titled“【安盛投資】豐盛未來”and “AXA 安盛投研” to give advice on equities.  The posts also link to a Whatsapp group chat which gives advice and encourages discussion on investment in equities.  Please exercise caution before carrying out any investment or funds transfer for which you may be solicited.

We are aware of the following fraudulent group chat links and Facebook accounts:

Please be aware that these persons, the Facebook posts, and the Whatsapp group are not associated with AXA Investment Managers in any way.  If you have been the recipient of a fraudulent request or communication, we strongly advise you to ignore the Facebook post, the Whatsapp group chat and/or invitation link to the group chat.

Impersonation / Cloning: New Bond Issue 8.6% - Sustainability Linked Bond FSCS Protected - January 2023

Individuals are purporting to be AXA Investment Managers and are offering a “New Bond Issue 8.6% - Sustainability Linked Bond - FSCS Protected”.

Fraudulent email addresses / domains being used:

Fraudulent communications state:

“Sustainability Linked Bond

AXA IM is committed to the idea that investors will be better positioned if they acknowledge and address climate change and sustainability in their portfolios. This has prompted us to carefully monitor the arrival of a new type of fixed income asset class: Sustainability-Linked Bonds (SLBs). Please see below our SLB rate for retail investors.”

This is not a genuine offering and we strongly urge you not to engage in communications and part with any funds.

Fraudulent activity – December 2020

AXA IM would like to warn the public and our clients of possible fraudulent use of AXA’s brand in China. For instance, the fraudulent call may contact you by telephone or Wechat mentioning the product is guaranteed by AXA or AXA IM.

Please be advised that you may be a victim of an attempted fraud if you have been the recipient of a call or communication initiated by non-authorized distributors or individual regarding any product offered by AXA or AXA Investment Managers.

We strongly advise that you cease all communications with the individuals regarding this fraudulent offer and alert your local authorities.

Fraudulent use of AXA IM name – November 2020

AXA IM would like to warn the public and our clients of possible fraudulent use of its name or logo by Ms. Sabrina Chen who claims to work for AXA Investment Managers in Hong Kong. Please exercise caution before carrying out any investment or funds transfer for which you may be solicited.

Fraudulent AXA IM website and phishing email – June 2017

We would like to warn the public and our investors of a fraudulent AXA Investment Managers (“AXA IM”) website (as shown below) that we have recently detected.  In addition, we have been made aware that phishing emails carrying the AXA IM logo claiming to be from AXA IM have been circulated to the members of the public.  Examples of these emails include introductory email about AXA IM and potential fraudulent investment proposal.

The website address, domain and email addresses are not associated with AXA IM in any way. If you have been the recipient of a fraudulent request or communication, we strongly advise you to ignore the emails, social media and/or internet links.

Fraudulent use of AXA IM name - August 2016

AXA IM would like to warn the public and our clients of possible fraudulent use of its name or logo by individuals who may have stolen the identities of its top management or staff, or those pretending to act on AXA IM’s behalf. Please exercise caution before carrying out any investment or funds transfer for which you may be solicited.

Fraudulent activity - November 2015

It has been brought to our attention that investors and potential investors are being contacted by people claiming to be from AXA Investment Managers and who try to persuade them to invest with them. They may contact you by telephone or by email with links to bogus websites.

The products they try to sell might even have official sounding names like AXA Corporate Bonds (we do not have any funds by this name).

Please be advised that if you have been the recipient of a fraudulent request or communication, the communication which you have received regarding an offer to invest was not initiated by any AXA Investment Managers entity or AXA Investment Managers employee. (Please note Mr Gerald Harlin is not an employee of AXA Investment Managers).

You are the victim of an attempted fraud and are in communication with individuals who may be attempting to learn your personal and banking details for criminal or illegitimate purposes including theft.

We strongly advise that you cease all communications with the individuals regarding this fraudulent offer and alert your bank and local authorities if your personal information has been divulged.

Fraudulent activity - August 2015

As a result of the security controls that AXA Investment Managers employs, we have been made aware of a fake investment proposal that has been circulated by Mr Rufino Fabrizio, who claims to work for AXA Investment Managers in Paris.

Customers should be aware that this person is not associated with AXA Investment Managers in any way.
